The best engineers aren't job hunting. As of today, they have an agent.

There's a moment in my job that has always felt unfair to me.
It comes at the end of every search: I have two or three excellent professionals in front of me, validated, motivated, and one position. One signs. The others go back to the silence I pulled them out of, with a handshake and a "let's stay in touch". People the market fights over on paper, and that nobody is actually representing.
Because this is the truth about technical talent in Italy: the profiles that make the difference, mechanical designers, automation engineers, industrial software specialists, don't answer job ads. They have no time, no need, and often no desire to "sell themselves". The result is a paradox: the most sought-after people in the market are also the worst served by those who should make the market work.
A Serie A footballer has a procurator. An actor has an agent. An engineer who designs machines sold all over the world has a LinkedIn inbox full of copy-paste messages.
Today we change that.
What Scuderia Labora is
Scuderia Labora is our direct representation programme for technical talent. Not a CV database: a select roster of highly qualified professionals who have decided to consider a new professional chapter and have entrusted us with managing it. The way an agent would.
For those who join, the service is complete and free, by law and on principle: we prepare the professional dossier, build the salary benchmark for the profile, choose together the companies to present it to, and handle interviews and negotiation. The professional's name never goes out without their consent, company by company. And their current employer will know nothing, under any circumstances: confidentiality is the prerequisite.
Admission is selective, and we say it plainly: a STEM degree, at least five years in technical roles, certified English at B2 level or above, verifiable references. And a real market: we represent a profile only if we see enough of the right companies for it. A select group, properly followed: it's the only way we know to do this job well.
What about companies?
For companies, the Scuderia is a door onto a market job ads never reach. Every profile we present has already passed our validation, has verified terms and availability, and is ready to interview in days, not months. Profiles are proposed anonymously, in parallel to a maximum of three or four companies, with a declared interview window: everyone knows where the process stands, always.
I already know the question you're asking: "if you represent candidates, will you come for ours tomorrow?"
It's the right question. And the answer isn't a verbal reassurance: it's written rules, part of every agreement.
- Whoever joins has already decided. We don't talk anyone into resigning. Only those who have already chosen, autonomously and in writing, to consider a move join the Scuderia.
- Once placed, never represented again. If they ever asked us to move them, we would decline the assignment.
- Cards on the table. Every company knows whether a profile is being presented to others and by what deadline. No blind auctions, no invented urgency.
And since words are cheap, we put money on it too: every placement is covered by the Scuderia Guarantee, if the person leaves within six months we replace them at our cost, and by the 100 Days Programme, structured support through the first three months with regular check-ins. If something doesn't work, the cost is ours.
Every profile, finally, is verifiable: behind every dossier there's a signed, dated mandate of representation. And at the interview you can ask the person directly: they'll confirm how the process works themselves.
Why we do it
Labora Partners was born from a precise conviction: technical expertise deserves the same care, the same attention and the same quality of representation the market reserves for executive profiles. We wrote it in our manifesto, every person is a work in progress, and so far we've practised it the classic way, one search at a time.
The Scuderia is the next step: to stop waiting for companies to ask us to search, and to start representing, with public rules, real guarantees and small numbers by design, the people who deserve to be sought out.
